Community investigative technique: routing identical Claude Code API requests through an HTTP proxy (mitmproxy or custom) across multiple CLI versions to compare Content-Length, cache token counts, and payload structure. Produced the v2.1.100 phantom-token finding, the CLAUDE.md system-reminder delivery pattern, and the lazy schema injection timing. Now the canonical method for primary-source billing evidence.
