Description

The accurate local source of finalized Claude Code token counts: a JSON object piped to statusline scripts on every status update, maintaining cumulative totals from finalized API responses. Completely separate from the JSONL log path — same process, same API calls, entirely different recording mechanisms. Per Gille AI (GitHub #28197), this is the only local source not subject to the 100-174x JSONL undercount.
